Day 21: Bedding
Admit it… even after 17 youtube tutorials on how to fold a fitted sheet, they just get balled up and shoved in your linen closet as is. Not only is it messy, but you probably have enough sheets for the whole block. Today lets tackle the issue so you open more storage space and lose less in the shuffle.
The general rule of thumb is to have 2 sets of sheets for every bed in the house
Make sure you include any pull out couches or air mattresses for guests.
Have kiddos that have accidents? Maybe 3 sets of sheets will keep you sane.
If storage space is slim, consider finding a place in each bedroom to store the sheets for that bed.
Ditch the mismatched, stained, and old sets that noone uses anymore.
If you want your closet to be tidy and are totally giving up on folding fitted sheets, consider baskets, or boxes for each set (labeled of course) Here are some of my favorite options from the container store!
To keep your discarded linens out of landfills check out an H&M store near you to recycle your sheets!
