Day 3: Blocks/Lego

It just takes stepping on a lego once to make you want to get rid of them all! Coming from someone who married an adult lego lover, collections easily get out of control. Take a minute to talk to your kids (or husband) about what can leave your house to create room for more creative outlets.

Questions to ask as you declutter:

  1. Does my family still build with extra blocks/legos?

  2. Do we want this set on display?

  3. Do these types of blocks challenge my young builder?

If the answer to these questions is no, it is time to say goodbye or move on to something more challenging.

What do I do with them now?

  1. Donate them to a local charity

  2. Sell them

    • Sites like ebay and facebook marketplace are a good place to offload toys.

    • If you are local to Charlotte visit Bricks & Minifigs and let them make you an offer! They take everything from loose bricks to completed sets.
